Clay works throughout the house and garden.
Our aunt, Linda Kastner, lived at Casa Calabaza for more than 20 years, making art and enjoying an eclectic community of Santa Fe friends and family.
We’re excited to share some of her clay works with you, which you’ll find scattered throughout the house and garden. These totems, plates, bowls, and mugs reflect a lifelong love of texture, place, and playful creative shifts.
We hope you enjoy living alongside the art as much as we enjoy sharing it.

Why "Casa Calabaza"?
“Casa” means house.
“Calabaza” means pumpkin.
Together, Casa Calabaza is our “House of Pumpkin.”
(Pronounced kah‑lah‑BAH‑sah.)
Who was Pumpkin?
Pumpkin was a rescued pit bull who became part of Linda's story, and a reminder of what it looks like when care and second chances bring people together.
